Position Summary
Training Coordinator
Job purpose:
Work with the respective department Managers to assess performance gaps and training needs. Manage the design, delivery, evaluation and tracking of training programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Safety personnel to prepare training materials, job aids and administrative documents, ensuring a standardized approach
- Design and develop training programs (classroom /e learning)
- Engage with SME to evaluate and improve any existing programs
- Select appropriate training methods or activities
- Stay up to date on new training methods/techniques
- Solicit feedback from trainees after each session
- Maintain updated Training database and records
- Wears any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the Company; report to a manager or supervisor any known missing or defective equipment, protective device or known workplace hazard that may be dangerous to any worker and do not use or operate any equipment or work in a way that may endanger himself/herself or any other employee
- Completes all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the Training field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design and implementation
- Knowledge of LMS and e learning delivery tools
- MS Office proficiency
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of employees
- CTDP designation an asset
Working conditions:
- Ability to work off shifts as necessary based on training needs
- Able to work in a plant environment, with exposure to dirt, noise, temperature variances, prolonged standing
